8.0/10

I had a lovely time at the hotel, enjoying the spacious and clean rooms as well as the impressive leisure facilities like the pool. The location was great for exploring the area, but some aspects of service during busy times could use improvement, especially in the dining area. Overall, it offered good value for money and a pleasant experience for a family getaway.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were spacious with lovely views of the woods, providing a very comfortable experience.
Service
7.0
While the staff were generally friendly and attentive, there were moments, especially during busy dining times, where service could be improved.
Location
9.0
The hotel is well-located, just a short drive from local attractions like Croagh Patrick and near beautiful walking paths.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast options were comprehensive and delicious. The dinner service, however, was somewhat slow and could have been better organized.
Facilities
9.0
The leisure facilities, including the gym and pool area, were excellent and really added to our enjoyment.

6.2/10

Our stay had its ups and downs. The hotel is definitely dated and could use some improvements, particularly in the service and connectivity aspects. However, the pool and spa facilities were delightful, and the location offered some beautiful views. Breakfast could have been better organized too, given the long waits we experienced.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms felt very tired and in need of a refresh. We had issues with the TV and the Wi-Fi, which was frustrating during our stay.
Service
6.0
Service was hit or miss. While some staff members were nice, the communication about booking pool access left a lot to be desired.
Location
8.0
The location is pretty with beautiful surroundings and is only a short walk to the town and various attractions.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was not the best experience, with long wait times to get dishes served and some confusion in orders which impacted our overall dining experience.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area was lovely and clean, a nice spot to unwind, despite the noise from kids around.

6.6/10

The hotel offers a picturesque setting with stunning views of the coast and mountains. The rooms are spacious, though we encountered issues with noise from adjoining rooms. The breakfast experience was generally positive, but the dining options could use some improvement. The pool area was enjoyable, though staff interactions there were less engaging. Overall, it’s a comfortable place with good amenities but not without its flaws.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were spacious for a family of four, but we faced a significant noise problem from the adjacent family, which disrupted our sleep. Plus, our room had some crumbs under the bed, which was a bit off-putting.
Service
6.0
The staff were courteous and made efforts to be accommodating, yet there were clear signs of lack of training that led to a chaotic breakfast experience.
Location
9.0
The hotel is excellently situated for visiting beautiful natural sites like Croagh Patrick and Achill Island, surrounded by stunning scenery that creates a peaceful atmosphere.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was decent, but the menu was quite limited, lacking variety which impacted our experience.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area was well-kept and provided a nice leisure experience, although the jacuzzi was not very warm.

5.6/10

Our stay at the hotel was overall quite enjoyable, with some highlights including the friendly service and spacious amenities. However, the dining experience left something to be desired, especially regarding the quality of food. While the location was decent, there were a few drawbacks with the room comfort that could use improvement.

Rooms
5.0
The room was quite dated and not what I would expect from a four-star hotel, with peeling paint and uncomfortable beds. The second room was better but still needed upgrades.
Service
7.0
The service was friendly and accommodating, with particular praise for the staff's willingness to assist in changing our room promptly.
Location
8.0
The location allowed easy access to nearby attractions, which was a plus during our stay.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was disappointing, especially the restaurant food. The burger I ordered wasn't presented well and lacked flavor.
Facilities
6.0
The amenities were spacious and mostly clean, including the pool, but the condition of some facilities was less than ideal.
